Appearance 4/5
We’re happy the Girl Scouts have got nothing to do with these cookies, because this is one strain that we want to have all year round. We were absolutely delighted by this Hybrid, which skewed towards the Indica side of things. The flower itself had a dusty look to it, with lots of crystals and little white hairs sprouting all over the leaves. The mixture of green and white are certainly how this mint earned its name.

Aroma 5/5
Coming packaged inside a vacuum sealed bag, the plant had a strong odor that was pungent without being noxious. We’d call it a breath of fresh air, as there was a light and sweet aroma that carried hints of citrus and sage.

Flavor 4/5
This smoke came with a subtle flavor that matched its aroma, but didn’t coat our tongue. It was a very light smoke, in our professional opinion.

Effect 5/5
We kept puffing away without feeling much. But this isn’t our first rodeo, and we should have known what that meant - this strain is a creeper. You’ll be puffing along and then, before you know it, BAM, you’re stoned. This strain hits hard, but it takes a few minutes to do so.

After it did, we found ourselves unusually focused and alert. We became incredibly task oriented, and had that unique sensation of looking at the clock, only to see that a large chunk of time had passed. If you use marijuana to focus, or possibly to unlock your creativity, then we think this strain is a must buy for you.

Thin Mint (Hybrid) - $16.60/g, $49.81/8th

Long story short -- we love a strain that can make us a productive smoker, and these Thin Mints sure did the trick. It’s got a great aroma, a subtle taste, and a powerful high that won’t overwhelm your senses. Definitely a Sativa-leaning Hybrid. Consider this smoke the best personal trainer you’ve always wanted. Puff away and get stuff done.

When it comes to great shopping experiences, the Herbarium has those three things that we were talking about earlier -- quality product, care of service, and a definite cool factor. Not only is this an awesome marijuana dispensary, it’s easily one of the best in Los Angeles. The staff is great, and so is the bud. What more can you ask for?

Also, they deliver, too! Next time you’re looking to buy some green, head down to (or order from) the Herbarium. We promise you won’t be sorry.

When we think about what makes a great shopping experience, not just for marijuana but for anything, we think that it comes down to three basic things: quality of product, care of service, and cool factor. The most basic (and most important) of which being quality of product, of course.

Our favorite tacos in the city are made on a food truck, and we don’t care because they are the best. To us, care of service means feeling like we are in good hands while we are shopping. That doesn’t mean being waited on hand and foot, but that does mean dealing with someone who is courteous, polite and knowledgeable. They don’t have to be the owner, but they have to give a hoot, so to speak.

Cool factor is the most elusive and the most sacrificial. Supermarkets are painfully uncool, but we all shop there anyway. But aren’t the coolest, best, most interesting places the ones that have something cool or fun about them? We like going somewhere that we’re proud to recommend to friends. Not in show off way, but more to share the wealth, as they say. And considering all those terms, the Herbarium is a great shopping experience.

It’s located on a stretch of La Brea Ave approaching Santa Monica Blvd. You can find this little spot set back from the street, separated from the occasional madness by a small parking lot. The building is simple and white, with large windows covered by reflective shade.
