Strain: Green Crack

Wow. Just wow. It was love at first sight when we saw this plant. The leaves are dark green, but the white fuzz covering them gives the plant an almost green-blue color. Beyond the unique shading, there’s these bright orange tendrils that pop all along the surface. It was a sincerely beautiful flower.
What’s that classic Spider-Man line? “With great looks, come great smells?” Whoever said it, they got it right, especially if they were talking about Green Crack.
The fragrance given off by this flower is simply wonderful. It’s got a big and bright citrus aroma, along with a natural, earthy, fresh odor of petrichor. This flower still smells like a plant, and we really enjoyed its captivating aroma.
Full disclosure -- our first inhale made us cough. Not only did that make us feel like a noob, but it also got us baked right away. So, you know, you take the good with the bad, as they say.
Not surprisingly, this flower’s smoke had a strong flavor that was heavy on our tongue. The taste is slightly lemony, but the smoke seemed to linger in our mouths for quite some time. We recommend you enjoy this strain with a drink of water on hand.
It all came down to this, folks -- will Green Crack live up to the hype, or will it burn up under heavy expectations?
We’re happy to report that not only did Green Crack meet our expectations, it surpassed them with flying colors. We were instantly feeling the effects of this wonder drug. This legendary Sativa made us feel great all-around, like we were relaxing on the best day of our favorite summer vacation. I think it’s safe to call this plant “summer in a bottle.”
Green Crack (Sativa): $18/g, $45/8th
We can’t say it strongly enough: Go out and pick up some Green Crack - now. It’s a famous strain for a reason. It delivers the perfect Sativa high. Pleasant, strong, happy, and soothing. The best medicine doesn’t just treat your ailments, it lifts your spirits. And Green Crack got us high… so high.

Hollywood Holistic Dispensary
The Los Angeles neighborhood of “Thai Town” has seen an uptick in popularity over the last several years. From the installation of the city’s second Upright Citizens Brigade theater, a finally-soon-to-be-finished Target, to an already well-established murderer’s row of excellent restaurants, the block is more hopping than it used to be. Which is probably why a marijuana dispensary moved into the neighborhood, serving up a theme that’s appropriate to the neighborhood -- Hollywood Holistic.
You’ll need to have an eagle eye in order to spot this shop. Located in the same building as the aforementioned UCB theater, the location is identifiable by its (usually) open front door, revealing a giant popcorn box painted on the wall. Once you enter, a Security Guard will take your ID, while you stand in a chairless waiting room, kept company only by the ATM and two movie posters: The Hangover, and Richard Linklater’s other great classic, Everybody Wants Some!!
Once inside, you’ll enter a large showroom. The walls are painted to continue the Tinseltown theme, and there’s even a giant Oscar statue on the wall to your right. We weren’t sure if the red velvet stanchions were meant to evoke the red carpet, but it didn’t matter since we were the only customers on deck, and we were allowed to immediately browse their products.
Here’s what was disappointing about the selection -- it was quite small. Nothing had more than a handful of offerings. And that went for their edibles, pre-rolls, waxes, and CBD. However, their flower options were quite plentiful. At least this shop had its priorities straight.
We saw ample varieties of Indica, Sativa, and Hybrid strains. They were kept in tall jars with names and pricing written in black marker atop the lid. The information was difficult to read at times, but our budtender had all the prices available on recall. Impressive.
We called on this shop because we were hungry for a Sativa that afternoon, and our budtender recommended one strain right away: Green Crack.
