Defonce Mint Milk Chocolate Bar
To be completely honest, we had sworn off edibles for the most part. We never get the dosage quite right, and usually wound up just falling asleep. However, we are big fans of chocolate, and find it hard to resist the “call of the cocoa” in any situation. That’s why it’s been hard for us to turn away from the THC infused chocolate bar. That’s why we were delighted to find this bar for sale.
Defonce, for those who don’t know, means “stoned” in French. And this bar offers a THC treat that is much larger than most bars on the market. They also have many flavors available. We settled on a delectable-sounding Mint Milk Chocolate on our last trip - and we couldn’t have been happier about it.
This is a really fun-looking chocolate bar. Once unwrapped, you discover that the bar has been divided into eighteen individual pieces, each with a dose of 5mg. When combined, they total 90mg for the whole bar. Rather than opt for the Hershey method of identical blocks, this bar divides itself into a funky geometric pattern of triangles flanked with two large bars on the ends. It’s little things like this that make a big difference, and it definitely had us smiling even before we took a bite.
This Mint Milk Chocolate Bar was wonderful to smell, but it gave no hints of THC whatsoever. Instead, it was a rich combination of chocolate and mint, swirled together with an artificial snap that made us think of mint chocolate chip ice cream. In other words, the scent was very par for the course.
Like we mentioned above, we have quite the “sweet tooth” when it comes to chocolate, and we thought this was absolutely wonderful. The chocolate was creamy and not-too-sweet, and the mint was lighter and less prominent than in other bars, like Kiva. We must admit that we had to stop ourselves from munching on the entire bar straight away.
Our problem has always been that we take things too fast, so we decided to start small. Two triangles of chocolate is only 10mg of THC, but they were fairly large pieces of candy, and that satisfied us as a starting point. The packaging recommends that you hold off on eating any more for up to two hours in order to gauge the effects, so we waited awhile for something to happen.
Ultimately, we did feel something. It was a lighter feeling than a traditional high; it felt like it was working behind-the-scenes. We felt relaxed and happy, and there was a slight blurriness to the edges of our vision. Not much, but slight. This was a curious effect that we surprisingly enjoyed. Even though it was similar to feeling “over-caffeinated.”
We loved munching on this Defonce Mint Milk Chocolate bar. It’s got a great taste, subtle flavor, and a great series of effects that made us glad we started slow. It’s also a bigger bar, with far more surface area (and lower dose pieces) than the average product. So, it’s slower to eat, longer to enjoy, and easier to parse out the effects. All in all, it’s a great product.
Exhale Med Center manages to be both a hidden and a welcoming dispensary of plant-based medicine. The location and overall vibe doesn’t feel like it should be a successful “marriage,” but shopping at Exhale Med Center turned out to be a great experience. It’s intimate, one-on-one, and they’ve got a ton of great stuff.

It’s not often that we can describe a dispensary as both “secluded” and “welcoming,” but those two adjectives spring to mind when discussing the Exhale Med Center. Located in West Hollywood, a neighborhood notorious for having only a few high-quality dispensaries, you’ll have to look closely to find their sign standing out on La Cienega Blvd.
We find it fitting that a dispensary named “Exhale” should be located adjacent to a hookah bar. If you can see the hookah smokers seated on the patio, you’re in the right place. Enter through the hallway beside the cafe, and down a long hallway, until you pop into a courtyard. Here, you’ll find several shops hidden from the street, including a spa. Lots of relaxation can be found in this little shopping center.
Exhale Med Center will be on your right. You’ll enter the frosted glass doors into a bright, wide open waiting room. One of the shop’s employees and a Security Guard were both stationed behind the counter, and they both greeted me with smiles. They correctly pegged me as a first-timer by my confusion, and informed me that I could receive 10% off my first visit.
While waiting, we noticed that there was a menu board with products and pricing hanging on the wall in this room. We glanced over the rotating pages, which included flowers, edibles, pre-rolls, concentrates, waxes, tinctures, vapes, and CBD, as well. After a minute, we were let into the showroom.
It was definitely surprising to enter the showroom. Compared to the waiting room, the showroom was shockingly tiny. There was a stanchion snake in the center of the room, but seeing as how there wasn’t many customers, we found no need to use it. We were flagged down by a budtender immediately and started browsing their selection.
The display cases run along the edges of the room, with budtenders moving behind them to assist you. Each case shows off one type of product and, as we moved around the room, we got to look at all of their various product types.
We were surprised to see that they keep their flower displayed in small petri dishes. Nothing makes us feel more “alien” than observing marijuana under bright bulbs and microscopes.
At the end of the line, we came to the edible section. Exhale Med Center has a strong edible game, with a full display case stuffed with treats, and a full cooler full of drinks. It was here that we found exactly what we were looking for: a Mint Milk Chocolate Bar by Defonce.
